Do you carry a bunch of stuff?

Lately Ive noticed a lot of people carrying backpacks or messenger bags everywhere they go. I was at a bar with some friends and a guy one of my friends knew met up with us and he was carrying this bag full of crap. What the heck do you need so badly that you have to take all that stuff into a bar with you? When I leave the house I usually only have my phone (which is also my iPod) and my wallet and keys along with a small pocket knife. I almost never carry my laptop around with me. I even have a tablet (not an iPad) and I never take that with me unless I'm traveling usually. So, Do you guys carry a bunch of crap with you?

No, although I have a pocketknife and flashlight on me at times. My friend has one of those manpurses you speak of. Apparently its a hobby of sorts, and there are message boards just like this one dedicated to the bags and all the stuff you can carry in them.

I cant stand things like that on me.... I have terrible times with band aids etc.... Tight things annoy me to the point where they HAVE to come off.....the less I carry. the better. if I could I'd go without my wallet...

Heh...everything is tight on me. Squats and deadlifts = big butt, looks good in jeans as well as large figure. I can feel ANY pickpocket

Wallet, keys, phone.
Unless you count all the stuff in my work vehicle. Its my "office" so it has several plastic tubs of files, and job prints as well as 40 lbs or more of spec books and "Standards",camera, markers, highlights, Engineer's scale, replacement parts for the Jeep, tools, change of clothes, personal safety gear, 1st aid kit, fire extinguisher, various measuring devices, some reading material, plus a bunch of stuff I forgot.

Not for me. Phone, keys, wallet, pocket knife (I open lots of thread-closed bags during the day so it's a force of habit even when I'm not going to work). That's it. And I can't stand carrying keys around.

Yeah. Swiss army knife, pen, pencil, eraser, penlight, extra batteries, notebook, keys, wallet, phone, ipod, lighter, pager, mini computer, sunglasses, condoms, deodorant, pepper spray, breath mints, kleenex, bottled water, corkscrew/bottle opener, latex gloves, extra money, band aids, advil, benadryl, sunscreen, tick remover, neosporin, nailclipper, spare chopsticks, hair gel, razor, small roll of duct tape, crazy glue, clif bars, flask of whiskey.

Think that covers it.

Edit: I'd like to add that most of that stuff is miniature and fits in my back pocket.
