It is really difficult not to impute some defect or other to people with whom we disagree. We just need to do so agreeably.

Again, well said. It is possible. And often, there are more solutions or sides to something than a dogmatic view sees. All may be espoused by equally rational people.

My comment was more tongue-in-cheek, and agreed they're on both sides. Media is an entirely different entity than our little board here, warranting an entirely different discussion. I doubt our mods would be able to do anything to the MSM environment

If we're arguing over semantics, the proper term for the authoritarian left would probably be "progressives" rather than "liberals" but the two are often conflated on this board and often in other discussions as well (MSM for one). There's a difference between yelling back and forth and having a good discussion based on well-sourced fact, regardless of political preference. The former is simply blowing steam (the aforementioned troll threads and chain emails), the latter is productive and civil. Political preference is almost moot here, its the manner in which it is delivered that I am contesting. I think we're on the same page here.

It's a sad commentary. The site was superior when it was moderated properly.

I value other opinions that can be supported. Unfortunately, most of the time they are simply postulated without any desire for discussion and without any data to confirm the opinion.

I also value those with an open mind. I've yet to see any right wing individual on this board with an open mind.

My observations regarding moderation are supported by the facts. The current group of moderators ignore the TOU of the board. This was desired by the previous owner and these moderators were selected on that basis.

I'm sure you understand such behavior. You want a good police force but whenever YOU go over the limit, you get all pissed off at the officer and scream that he's biased against you because every other motorist is going 75mph as well. Know anybody like this, Tx?

How do you factually support an opinion. My opinion is that blue is the best color. How is that supported?
