I believe both he and you are the rare exceptions. The remainder of the above paragraph tends to support my thesis.

Now, regarding the last line..........."your political bent supports this". I do not believe I have given you any information that would allow you to conclude that my personal belief supports a large and bloated government. In reality, the contrary is true. I'm perfectly OK with the perspective of yourself and Larry.............to a point. Once that point reaches the level where folks who are unable to support themselves will starve so that the military can be increased, I draw the line.

If you want to cut the government, and I most certainly do, because, like yourself, I am self-made, everything gets cut...........from the military to S/S to medicare. I'm right on board with all of it.

Thanks. That was always my intent.

Now that's an opinion which cannot be supported with facts.
You have basically said the sun is a cold, black ball of ice with that statement BC.

Actually it can be supported, because I know the individual personally.

With regard to MS, we've shown him, on repeated occasions, that the Republicans spend more money with reckless abandon, than the Democrats ever could.

And, yet, he refuses to acknowledge this fact.

This is the definition of a closed mind.

The left supports larger care and devices which take care of the poor than the right does. Your bent is to the left. You have two basic choices and you have chosen the left. You cannot separate that. My bent is slight right- so I'm lumped in with those that view my side as TP/RWNJ. I cannot change that either.

Those two qualifying words omit anything afterwards being a "fact".

Besides "JR" is the online persona of a actual person- you might have personal non online interaction with him - but that is him- not his online persona. His online persona is far more left than anyone else here.

Why the mixed feelings then? No gain, all work, no pay. No brainer to me.

I don't lump you into the RWNJ class. Your social interactions though often cause friction when with a little care you could avoid a lot of it.

I agree. Provided that you realize the fundamental difference between the Republican party (definitely not conservative) and true conservatives, we are on the same page. I cannot stomach the Repos simply because they claim to be "conservative" and they have no clue as to the definition of the term. GWB was classic for this. RR was similar, but not to the degree.

I'm slowly coming around to your position. However, unfortunately, I have absolutely no trust in Willard. He simply wants to be the President and he will say or do anything to achieve that goal. I have no confidence that he will put his balls on the line to force major spending reductions and I fully know that he will NEVER get the health care spending bill repealed. He'll take political cover using the Senate as his scapegoat. We can easily use Republican administrations of the past to understand what the potential forthcoming one would do.

Romney has absolutely no conviction about anything, and, therefore the government will remain as the status quo. This is exactly what we do not need.

I respect your views regarding conservative approaches in government and largely agree with them. Where I find you completely close-minded is the point regarding whether or not the Republicans are at all conservative. History shows clearly that they are certainly not. You mind is closed to this fact and you still have some hope.............

Excellent.

Larry has the strength of his convictions and he also is certain that other people are pig-headed and stubborn.

Do you want to be in that boat?

My personality likes to run the show. I very much enjoy being a charter boat captain and the President of my company...........all of which allows me to run the show. I'm miserable at any spectator sport or as an employee for the same reason.

On an airline flight, I have visions of rescuing the airplane should the captain become incapacitated.

It's part of who I am.

This explains the "mixed feelings".

I was removed. Some are still partying, nearly 18 months later.

Apparently, the powers that be really didn't want enforcement of the TOU. Too many people run and cry about it.

Now you have a forum where the rules are largely ignored by the Mods. Makes for an easier day for them............not so excellent for everybody else, however.

No, "reckless abandon" does not omit anything afterwards. "Reckless abandon" can be proven. Surely, you don't want to stick your head in the sand regarding the spending patterns of previous Republican administrations? Or do you?

I believe I already explained that situation in previous posts. You should read them first before challenging me.

Your bent is slightly right but some of your arguments are far right and unsupported. The fellows in the middle take you to task for your unsupported positions. Of course, you view them as "the far LEFT".

Personally, I agree with some of your positions and have no real desire to argue about the nuances of them.
