IF I'm there and armed and have a clear shot, I would HOPE that I would have the character to do my best to take him out. Everyone in there, including myself, is ALREADY in jeopardy. If you want to cry and try to hide under a chair, go for it. I would rather do what I could to take care of the situation.

That said, we NEVER know how we will react in a situation until ACTUALLY confronted with the situation, but I would hope that I would have the character to try to take care of it.

entirely possible, given a situation like that, which is much like combat. lots of people with rifles have died at the hands of pistol wielders. The odds are reduced, but it beats dieing on your knees.....
