well, there seems to be some appreciation to moderators here. I don't hang out here enough to have an opinion. It is a dirty job sometimes so I'll give the benefit of the doubt until I notice otherwise. Thanks mods!

Thread hijack alert. Not, excatly related, but maybe still a decent place to give feedback.

Why is there a wordfilter on **** **** & ****? Is the horror of the occasional cussword too much for some folks? I only noticed because I posted a link recently with **** in the URL, even though the subject was not ****. This type of censorship is just silly, and I do not agree that it serves any useful or good purpose. I'm not asking anyone to go to any great lengths to change it, but if at the next annual peachparts forum moderators convention in Las Vegas*, you fellows have a chance to discuss and change the policy, it might make us feel less like (but maybe act more like) children.

* Or will it be Rio De Janeiro this year?

The way I look at it is if you are willing to delve into OD and lay your opinions/thoughts out there then you best be ready to realize that everyone is NOT going to feel the same way in regards to your opinion. It is how you communicate your differences that makes you a good or bad poster.

I like to think that the level of education of the members on this board is higher than the average board (facebook for example) and then some riff raff shows up and dashes that dream. Ya'll know too that this statement is absolutely not directed at any members that are currently not banned. There have been some doozies show up over the years too. I don't remember all the names but they were out there.

Ya'll would be surprised at the number of new members (spammers) we ban every day.

Let's all have a moment of silence for the late Amanda Love now.
Something makes me think that there is a compliment in there some where.

The difference between the mods we now have & the perception some have of a mods job is clear.
I think you will agree Jim, a mod is not a law enforcement officer, so their job is not just to hand out punishment (infractions). Though at times they are sufficiently backed into a corner they have no alternate.

Many of us have seen this over the last year or so. There have been many threads closed as a form of safety valve. That is what I was congratulating Tyler (& other mods) for.
I am thankful in the past for when I have contacted you by PM asking about the suitability of certain potential posts & you have replied promptly.

You fellers take forum moderation way more seriously than I gave you credit for.
