NEA is infamous for protecting non-performing teachers, to the detriment of the students. OTOH, a construction worker who fouls up is often out of a job the same day, and rightly so.

This is a REAL good example of YOUR prejudice Panzee. You are prejudice in that you ASSume that all conservatives are racists.

I do readily admit to being a conservative, but I am probably more racially open minded than you or most of your commie friends. I even came VERY close to marrying someone of a much different race than myself.

Of course, liberals over generalizing is common, so you don't have to feel TOO bad about it.

It is so absurd to call ANYONE a racist simply because they disagree with someone that HAPPENS to be of a different race. YOU are the one showing bigotry here.

How do you know that hill's friend isn't Caucasion and not some other racial group type? Did hill mention any racial implication? Where in my post do you detect even the slightest implication of racism?

I appears that you are racist, otherwise how could you infer that all those social safety net elements are exclusively or predominately accessed by non-Caucasions and that Jesse Jackson would be of the opinion that making note of them makes someone a "white racist"? You might do a little research, Caucasions are the single largest racial group type in the US, it stands to reason that they also are the largest racial group type accessing the social safety net elements. In absolute numbers more Caucasions receive government handouts and benifits than any other racial group type.

You're on Social Security and Medicare does making note of that, make anyone who does, a white racist in Jesse Jacksons opinion according to your logic?

My prejudice is against parasitic behavior irregardless of a parasite's racial group type.

nope, he'll have help from the angry black, brown, yellow & red guys AND gals. The recession and subsequent high unenmployment & food & fuel costs have hit everyone in the working and poor classes very hard, regardless of skin color. No relief in sight, just more promises and attempts to polarize the populace.

Was there a pre-2008 GOP sponsored spending bill that the Gentleman from Wisconsin voted against? Medicare, Part D? TARP? Bridge to Nowhere? Rescue the Auto Industry? Raising the debt ceiling? Earmarks?

Politico: Big Spending Conservative?

On the touchy issue of "pork" and "earmarks" this is on Mr. Ryan's website:

Under the watch of both political parties, Congress grew addicted to the practice of pork-barrel spending. Taxpayers were rightfully angered to learn of their hard-earned tax dollars squandered on the infamous Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska and the Rain Forest Museum in Iowa. More troubling than these egregious examples of waste is the corruptibility of the process. Earmarks aren’t inherently problematic, but when former members of Congress are in jail for selling earmarks, there’s something seriously wrong with the process. In the 111th Congress, House Republicans established a self-imposed ban on the practice of pork-barrel spending through the broken earmark process. At the start of the 112th Congress, House Republicans expanded the earmark moratorium for the entire House. emphasis added

Mr. Ryan fails to note that he voted in favor of the legislation for that bridge. It also failed to note that Mr. Ryan "earmarked" legislation for his home state.
