Anyone care to address the violent language, physical violence, and threats of "blood" by Union activists? Why is the President not calling for "civility"? He is quick to do that when politically advantageous to himself.
Is thuggish behavior acceptable when it is the thugs of the political left? Sure seems like it based on the lack of condemnation of it.

Not just the people of Michigan, all of us. Probably more important than we realize.

This is nothing new. It is a rehash of what many of our great grandparents fought for. When I say fought I do mean bloodshed. US military force has been used against tax paying citizens to settle labor disputes in this country and will be again if it comes to that. Thug force has been used all along. You can easily find the history of what I am saying. The futures of our offspring will partially be determined by this.

One remnant that I have seen is a question on a concealed carry permit: Are you involved in a labor dispute?

Gun control laws at the end of the 19th century were instituted because unions were organizing their own militias to defend themselves against the state militias which were controlled by capital.

Golly, capitol can control people. I didn't know that. It's of the same animation as guns, which make us kill each other. A modern form of animism.

Yep, the same kind of animism libertarians use when they say that the government controls people.

Government literally means control of (depending on interpretation/translation of the suffix 'ment') life, action, or mind.

They are not analogous. Guns and money are inert and unconscious. The government is composed of people.

In my opinion people are generally neither inert nor unconscious. Though many people do adopt that argument with regard to government employees.

Even so, I don't think the government controls people. I think people in government use the organs of power to their own purposes. Guns and capital do not, cannot.

It was all over local news for days, then suddenly vanished.

From People I trust (Dem & Rep) who where in the capitol trying to deal with other critical business.
The union people where extremely aggressive and violent with NO provocation.
Screaming in your face, pushing, dumping drinks on people, etc.
One woman (Dem, friend) trying to cross the square was fondled/groped + had drinks dumped in her purse, Police could do nothing = no witness among the hundreds of union members harassing her.

^^^ Unfortunately for many of the liberal bias, if the MSM don't tell them about it, it never happened.

While it is very romantic and there are several incidents, which specific incident are you talking about? I'd like to analyze what happened a bit more since it has been 30 years since my history class and my memory might not be all it was.

Really? Which state? All I can find is the RESTRICTION against you carrying concealed AT a labor dispute strike. Do tell.

MSM? Which are you refering to?

MSM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Men who have sex with men, a medical and social research designation
Mainstream media, in discussion of the mass media and media bias

For many years I belonged to a small union. It was run by the members and had no paid officers. We had a no strike-no lockout clause in each and every CBA. We prospered and our employer prospered. In the eight years I was president of the union, I handled exactly one grievance which was settled in five minutes with the company. Ah, those were the days!

Go to the Department of Labor web site and look up the LM-2 financial statements that each union must annually file. Look at the salary and benefits for the officers. You will then realize why they want to remain in power.

Curious as to how those salaries compare to CEO salaries.
