Heroin and cocaine are illegal and use remains high.

DUI is illegal and remains a serious problem.

Your math is dishonest.

What a delusional statement.

delusional for gun owners to be responsible?
they're your words....

Cars are not the topic, my comparison was of two rights granted by the constitution, and wondering why you believe that regulation of one is acceptable but not the other.

How exactly would your rights be infringed? You would still be able to own/possess firearms as stated... or do you believe that every single kind of firearm should be legal? RPG's and teflon-cop-killers and bazookas.... maybe an M60 on your car??? I mean the constitution says 'shall not be infringed'....

Statement was accurate. You presume your rights to be precedent over the rights of others.

No, you want to insult me, and act like a douche, I'm going to call you on it.

Did you even read what you posted?
The words are NOT synonyms.
Travel is NOT a form of transportation.

You are the one behaving like an insulting douche bag. Go sleep it off

Edit: Know what. Not even the issue. Which you still won't address, forget it.

The regulation changes nothing. Regulate the guns into oblivion and the weapon of choice will change not the decision of the criminal.

Cop killers. lol Media hype.

My rights are exactly as the same as yours. Just because you don't want yours does not mean I lose mine. That act of an idiot with a bat does not equate to idiotic bat regulation.

Man... you guys really got to start supplying the tarter...

Do you deny that the US has an unusually high incidence per capita of gun deaths?

MagnumPI 12-16-2012 02:53 AM

Is there a usual incidence of per capita of gun deaths? And then if the US has the most prominent gun culture, wouldn't they indeed set the standard for what is and isn't usual? Maybe the other countries just aren't killing enough.

Why exactly would the total populace of the country have anything to do with, or disprove, a statistic showing gun related deaths per 100,000 people? ;)

Right you are...

Regardless of the size of the U.S. and other countries in comparison, the sampled population is reflective of the aggregate population, provided the sample is randomly selected.

As some may note, my profound disgust with unions and Detroit has passed all reasonable limits. :o

Some think I am exercising humor when I post armored personnel carriers as REAL REASONABLE options to drive in Detroit.

Sorry to burst the bubble, I have actively been looking for a good used one the past twenty years as my daily driver.

IMO the totally idiotic knee jerk political and media reactions are polished to fine art, and fanned to ever more frenetic levels each time.
They are focused on news ratings and re-election votes, there seems to be NO INTEREST IN FINDING A SOLUTION...

Normally I ignore them, but children are dying because of political and media crap.

At least STOP sensationalizing and giving these sick animals air time.
The media management are (hoping) begging for copy cat crimes.
STOP giving the scum what they WANT...

I know media and government have experts in Abnormal psychology the branch of psychology focused on abnormal behavior, psychopathology and disruptions of thoughts and feelings.
The experts know and constantly warn, this type of nut wants to go out in a blaze = media splash + ever higher body count.
Their abnormal sick, twisted mind sees it as a valid/acceptable option and/or competition.

The media REWARDS them with plenty of air time, memorializing their vile crime.

There is NO reason to allow this to continue, PUT a LEASH and MUZZLE on their inflammatory coverage = leave the US constitution intact, just reduce them to cold facts.

The media think this is entertainment = great for ratings, FORCE them back to the NEWS, and permanently sever RATINGS from NEWS broadcasting.

Sorry if I rambled or offended you.

Terrible what one deranged animal can do.
Even more concerning is how many more like him walk amongst us, and our children, every day.

Wow.....

Buncha kids and teachers get shot to death and your response is that its the American way.
"Maybe the other countries just aren't killing enough". Read that to yourself and think about what you said. Shame on you

Personally, I am not proud of our record of per capita gun deaths. Instead of defending our statistics and claiming that we should set the standard of the world even in these horrendous tradgedys, maybe its time to try and head them off
