If you were a Jew, it was necessary to go to the temple (only one existed) in Jerusalem and bring your offering to be sacrificed to atone for your sins. But since many lived quite long distances, bringing the best of your flock/herd may not be a viable option. So you'd sell your best animal, travel to Jerusalem and then go to the money changers and salesmen in the temple courts to buy an animal for sacrifice. The moneychangers were cheating to poo out of people. Jesus was enraged that the temple was made a "den of thieves". Quote:

I clicked on ACCEPT by accident. I thought I was downloading software.

Actually, to accept is to download a certain kind of software which gives a person access to an otherwise invisible world.

I think we know that - (it, 'union labor' wasn't around) but can you make a case for Jesus being a socialist, when by all indications and example, he appeared to be an independent operator?
To me, the only thing He had going for others to follow, was the promise of everlasting life, not a wage or cost of living scale. Perhaps I must have missed the lessons on or paralelling the case for 'union labor' then, no? Quote:

He didn't address the question of unions, but he did speak his mind on the question of rich men in general (according to the gospels).

With what does he support his statement? Hard proof or just words?

I believe that it does. God has never allowed me to go hungry and has made sure I seem to have what I NEED, even when I didn't know I needed it at the time. Even as a child, when my parents worried over every penny (we were on welfare at the time due to a bad business partner dad had) there was always food. There was always shelter. There was always love...Like I said, things I NEED, not things I want.
