NO AR 15 used in Newtown shooting
That's right, four handguns only. The evil Bushmaster was left in the car. More "ready, fire, aim" by the media and the government....stupid ****ers...

Due to the general lack of knowledge about firearms on the part of the media and my own general curiosity, I wish they would simply report the make and model of firearm used in an incident rather than attempting to describe it.

But everyone knows three or more handguns equals one evil assault rifle.

If the Bushmaster was left in the car, why would the police chief cite it as the primary weapon used, other than the handgun that the shooter used on himself?

Not a huge fan of the media by any stretch, but were they not reporting what they were told?
Fault the State Police if you will, but I fail to see how you can assign blame to the media reporting the information they were given regarding the incident. even some people's favorite... thousands of Americans head to their local gun store to secure the popular AR-15 -- the model used by the school gunman -- before potential government prohibitions on their purchase. It doesn't matter. Paper and bubble guns are treated as weapons. To think it's really about safety or "assault rifles" at this point is naive to the point of infancy.

I am reading conflicting reports... And yes, I know that the hoopla has little or nothing to do with safety.....

What are the sources that are conflicting with the official statements?

IIRC, I heard that one of the boys killed had six wounds in him. I don't know from nuthin about guns, but that tends to leave me with the impression that they were fired from a semi- or automatic weapon unless he stood over the boy and pulled a pistol trigger 6 times? Is that very likely?
The NBC clip predates the CNN posted bt MTI. Ahh, the fog of media war to be the firstest with the mostest. |
