You start posting on threads like this one. Age is all a state of the mind even if your body tells you otherwise. I can still walk on water now for example. Thats if it is frozen first.

I'm turning 30 in a few days. I am in better shape than when I was 21, and I was also the same weight at the time (5'10 and 150 lbs). I have less hair (large diameter balding crown) on the top of my head, but...Meh..Oh well.

That may be the true arrival of old age. If you suspect a fall might finsh you off. About thirty percent or more of older people that break their pelvis do not see another year.

Obesity may kill you but may also give some cushioning effect in a fall. The acceleration period is not there to make the extra weight punitive in nature I suspect. Or if it is a component it is still offset by the advantage of the padding.

My father once mentioned that more guys drop dead in bed doing extra curricular activities than the media would want to report. Still it remains the way to go I suppose if given a choice.

May even be the original origin of the expression dead weight as this enabling senario has been with mankind for a very long time.

I doubt if at my age I would jump in the sack with a lady thirty five years younger than myself for health reasons. I would hate it to be the reason for her demise.
