2014 CTS

2014 Cadillac CTS: This Is It

I find this car stunning. I hope I am not going to be disappointed by quality and performance....with MB going toward the melty-plastic look with many of their cars (E class is the only angular one remaining). This is how American luxury can compete with the Germans. The old CTS was okay looking but a bit bloated and blingy. I also don't think it aged well. Thoughts?

Can I get this in a wagon, V version, sold.

Will be waiting for the current generation to depreciate to a sane price. Then I'll finally have an adequate replacement to my LT1 Buick Roadmaster Estate.

Nice looking car, LED's are a bit much. 'Merican cars don't do a lot for me anymore however...

The CTS-V will likely have a manual, the old one does and there are still a LOT of purists out there for American cars.

Is it possible I saw this on the PA turnpike this weekend? Those vertical lights are like nothing else on the road. It was nice, whatever it was.

Even the GT3 doesn't come with a stick, get over it.

No.

I'm 33. I can be reasonably expected to drive for another 45 years if that. If I buy one or two new cars with a real transmission, rather than ones designed for drooling gimps, cell-phone-yapping teen girls, and overweight American porky-pies with ruined knees, they can be reasonably expected to last my entire driving career. Or at least till this country switches to 100% electric cars making the choice of transmission irrelevant.

Maybe an ATS? I've seen a few of those. These are the first pictures of the CTS AFAIK.

Also a good looking car IMO

The advent of the electric starter must have cheesed you off.

ALL HAIL NED LUDD!!!!

I want to drive, not have some cum'pooter calling the shots for me. Some people thought that the death scene of HAL-9000 in 2001 was sad. Me, I thought: why didn't Dave disconnect the annoying little turd last week, smash his circuit boards to powder, and vent the detritus into the vacuum of space?

Nope. It had the LEDs that continued below the bumper. From the rear it had a pronounced fuselage shape with smaller Bentley style lights. Wish I took a picture now, Damn!

Nuts! I don't think they'd drive the car on the highway to the NYC auto show (which I am missing this year ) but that is one route from Detroit....

Cadillac had to throw a bone to those New Jerseyites who still graft those awful fake convertible tops onto their new Caddys...
