There was once an office that regulated nuclear waste. It went away 100%.

There was also some sort of reconstruction program that had its' own department during the Great Depression. It is gone as well.

Nuclear Wastes ... NRC: Radioactive Waste still cooking I am thinking.

New Deal Programs -- at least #24 of them ... Here is the list of the top ten:
Top 10 New Deal Programs

It looks like many were abolished, many were declared as unconsitutional, some still going strong under their orginal name.

However, dig just a little deeper and those that were "abolished" were like the phoenix, they were reborn from the ashes into a new creater, a new program or department. So, I am guessing they really did not just go away. We just call them something different today.

No, the nuke waste office I was thinking about was done away with and the States were given the power to set their own rules on this. This was in the mid 90's.

So Texas passed a law stating that they would issue permits that met their guidelines, and then, after awarding a permit to a large Republican donor, passed a law saying that there could never be any more permits issued.

Sort of like a Taxi Medallion in New York City. There are only so many of them and you can't operate a Taxi without one.

And they are not making any new ones.

I did not say it direct; but My point was until People are oppressed enough there won't be any attempt to start a Revolution.

And, if N Korea is any guide it is possible to control things to the extent that Revolution is impossible/suicidal.
