I've had this since my second computer that I worked 2 years to be able to buy in 1989...a Victory VPC-250 with an 8088 chipset. I remember putting out a rather large amount of money for it, and it came with a 50mb hard card. I was one of the first in my school to be able to turn a computer on without using the huge floppy disks.

I found a brand new box of those..what are they 5" or 8" floppies? Cleaning out a shed. My son asked what they were. A pain in the ass I said.

It might...Amazon.com: Parallel Printer cable - USB to Centronics: Computers & Accessories

They are still used in lots of places with preprinted, tractor-fed forms, so the basic drivers are available (as well as supplies).

Put me in the column of those who hate inkjet printers, too. They're great for printing pictures, but otherwise the cost per page is painful, and if you don't use them regularly the cartridges dry out too easily.

I have an adapter that lets me hook up my 1983 Apple Dot Matrix printer to my network... I can print to it wirelessly from Windows 7

Well...maybe I should find one of those adapters. I'm gong through some classes now, and will have this completed soon, which will help me in a service based business I'm wanting to get started in my basement. Having the dot-matrix ready to print receipts might be real handy.
