Martureo is much more articulate than myself and he will do just fine. The problem is not with him. He knows right from wrong and proper moral behavior, something that some of our members here are desparately lacking, therefore are unable to relate to.

If someone merely tells you that they believe that something is immoral or wrong what about that make you think they are forcing their beliefs on you?

Some People will face criticism and fight for their beliefs and some won't.

I prefer someone who will say what they believe in up front because that is honest even if it is not always polite.

IF the rule were based on the idea that we need it so we don't go into chaos, much like say a law against murder where we cannot have people killing each other (for a simple example), fair enough. OTOH, I have a gripe with it if it is based off some silly deity who wishes this, that or the other. I'd have no dispute with say murder laws although sometimes I wish I could just send a few people to the meat grinder. OTOH, I don't want you to insist I cannot drink because your deity said so.

Hence I believe a govt should be there as a referee to make sure we don't go crazy. IT should serve as a neutral party to arbitrate disputes.

Well, you can isolate yourself from the world or it will come about like it is coming about.

The issue of Larry forcing beliefs on others has already been dealt with several times. While he is not out there with a badge enforcing his will on others he does support laws and politicians who wish to force their common beliefs on the rest of us. Just because Larry forces his beliefs by proxy does not reduce his guilt.
