The gentleman protecting he and his wife did, although I am sure he would not consider that hunting. If you are in your own home and are trying to defend your self against an intruder i would say that your hunting techniques are at work.

A certain couple is glad they don't ban them in Iowa.

I don't know of a state than bans hunting weapons but that doesn't mean there's not.

Not banned, but you need a permit to purchase (though interestingly, not to own) in NJ and to own in NYC. The rest of NY state is much less strict though.

depends on what you call a hunting weapon. i know plenty of people that hunt with an ar-15.

I think the Governor of Iowa should send that family a thank you note since that just saved the taxpayers a bunch of money. Also, thank Goodness the jihad against the private ownership of guns hasn't hit full bloom yet.

Are hunting weapons banned in any part of the world?

It might be harder to get a legal weapon and yourself licensed in some parts of the world compared with others but I can't think of a single country where hunting weapons are banned.
