The Eotech is just a holo so it would work with goggles, you would just need an Eotech with the NV button to prevent burn in of the red dot on the NV.

Most setups look like this, than you can slap your really cool IR laser on the front and paint targets without them being able to see you!

Good choice on the 597 and drop in trigger...We have three of them here, all with JARD triggers. My boy is a hell of a shot with his, and my daughter isn't too far behind him. I was somewhat surprised that they allowed them to leave the factory with such crappy triggers.

Anyway, I was going to suggest the shooting sticks as well. They've seemed to work for me over the years.
