2015 C-Class Touchpad not Touchscreen

When the nav units start to scroll out to "outer space" view . . . when will get get the targeting computer to blow up the Death Star?

AFAIK, this car still gets a real transmission (not a nancy-matic) in Europe. Will there be a 6 on the tree? (!)

Are you sure this is a real pic? The screen looks very "tacked on", almost like a tablet duct-taped to the dash.

Lots of similarities to the 2014 W222 S-Class.

The next-generation C-Class will also grab other goodies from the upscale parts bin. Mercedes’ AirMatic air suspension will be optional, as will a glove-box-mounted feature that will perfume and ionize the air with one of four scents.

Unlike the S Class that uses two LCD screens integrated within the dash, the C (W205) has a standard 7" or an optional 8.4" LCD. The upright design, rather than dash integrated, premiered on the CLA250.

Meh, not loving the new MB interiors and look. I was at the dealer with my buddy last week to get a part for his truck and looked at the 14 S and E...I'd rather have an Audi A8 its more German inside, or a 2014 CTS in the case of the E class because its just a better car.

My grandmothers new husband just took delivery of one of the first 2014 CTS's in FL and its a heck of a car, for $60k with a 400hp+ V6 its hard to beat. You have to spend $15k-$20k more to get a BMW or Mercedes with that much power, and the 5 series isn't anything special, and the new 2014 E looks like it has a fish nose or something.

I hate to admit it but I think I would go for the Cadillac as well, American cars are getting pretty damn good and attractive these days.

That's their newest "design language" for the interior. It looks like an afterthought and is completely disjointed with the rest of the design. I'd take my VW interior over that CLA in a heartbeat.

Lets put it this way, he buys a new car every 1-2 years. Unless I get the hots for something else next year or my uncle wants it his CTS is my next car. I'll buy it for whatever they will give him in trade, probably in the $30k range and it will be a sub 20k mile FL car.

My attorney just bought another new E class as he does every year or two, and IMHO its just meh. I don't care for the styling and it doesn't have 400hp!

Assuming you are buying new and dumping in a year or so, sure. Otherwise, it is entirely possible you will be hearing the word "obsolete" often if you keep it past 10 years if it isn't a very popular part. So far, if I want to, for whatever my reasons, I can buy the parts to fix it instead of having to scavenge in the scrapyards or aftermarket, which doesn't seem to fit quite as well.

Its terrible. Jalopnik has since agreed with me! I can't wait for that trend to die out. The exterior looks really nice though, I like it. Much more elegant than the outgoing C

I suspect that a different **cough* younger *cough** customer has already signaled that they aren't put off by the vertical display. Notice that the new S-Class, with it's own audience, went with a more traditional dash layout.
