Then what happened, Mr. Dudesky? How did the GOP manage to screw things up so badly after having advanced the issue of civil rights so long ago?

Is that a troll thread? If so, am I not supposed to do that?

I won't shed tears if the republican establishment goes away. But I can't believe you really think the democratic party is all saintly, and pure. It is, after all, a political party.

If the Democrats weren't such a bunch of tools, I'd be all for the GOP fading into oblivion. They are, so I'd prefer some sort of roadblock to prevent single party rule. Both parties fading into oblivion would be ideal.

In fact, I'd love to see party affiliation go away completely. Just names on ballot, in random order. It'll never happen of course, because the sizable number of numb nuts on the right and left wouldn't know who to vote for without that party line. We certainly can't expect them to research the candidates and their positions.

The GOP's issue is that their dependents likely have the financial edge but there aren't enough of them.

Oh don't worry, if the GOP gets too weak the Dems will fragment and fight against each other.....seriously.
