How to write the "or" combination in cursive?

I'm teaching myself cursive and can't figure out how one connects the "or" (or, for that matter, the "os". Can anyone here provide any guidance?

OK, I think I just figured out "os" (I didn't realize that my "s" doesn't have to start at the bottom of the page), but "or" is still stumping me.

Lucky for you, that you are not an Arabic speaker, they only have cursive for writing there is no block printing...

Something along these lines.

There are tons of handwriting worksheets available online. D'Nealian cursive is by far the easiest to learn.

How old are you? We were taught that at age 10.

My three oldest kids (11, 14 & 16) were never taught it in school. I doubt my 7yo will be taught either. We have worked with them a bit at home. If for no other reason than so they could sign their names.

I learned it at age seven or eight but never used it again. I still remembered all of the letters except for f, G, and D. It's more just a matter of working on being able to write it quickly and neatly... and figuring out little nuances such as the "or".

So I guess saying that I am teaching myself is a misnomer. I am ironing out and hammering in what was getting rusty for me (and I hate rust ).

That is correct. That D'Nealian link you provided looks more or less like what I am doing with some minor stylistic differences on the n, m, b, and r... I think I'll switch to their r (my r peaks at the same height on both ends... theirs is more visually appealing to me).

Wow. Once we learned it we never used anything but that in school again. Why would you hammer into a stone tablet when you can use a quill on vellum?

Because I wanted to print. I am weird.

And I can print fast . At the time print just seemed so much cooler that cursive... cursive was something I had to do for reasons I did not understand. I have always had a difficult time making myself do stuff that doesn't interest me. My mother tells me that when I was four, she told me to clean my room and I responded with the Finnish equivalent of "Nah, it doesn't interest me." I apparently ended up doing it despite my low level of interest .

Uh oh, I'm rambling. Time to go.

[EDIT]I also write small so as not to waste space, and print can be written smaller and more legibly than cursive.
