linkeee no workeee

I searched and found this image of the car mentioned above and I think its pretty cool looking!

Sorry to disagree. I have always had a weak spot for these step down hudsons who ruled stock car racing for half a decade or so....nascar and the Mexican roadrace.....

Ditto!

Maybe the one featured in the OP is an exceptionally hideous or modified example?

See, there's style!
Everything now looks like a Camry, minivan, SUV, or pick up truck with a stupidly intimidating and over-sized front grill area.
It's just a matter of how much you want to spend for quick acceleration to the next traffic light.

I actually like the Nissan Cube and the New Beetles (both types)\

I've noticed that practically all new cars (anything newer than 10 years ha Ha) also have "mean looking" headlights, which I am of the firm opinion add to any kind of rage people have behind the wheel.
See this in your rear view and how can it do anything but make you feel bad in some way.

VS. This.

If a decent Hudson truck as illustrated came my way I would probably buy it. Hudsons by and large where quality built vehicles.

A friend of mine purchased a 1920s Hudson touring car to restore. It is one big sucker. Too early to have front brakes so some smaller front disk brakes where custom adapted to it using the original kingpins etc and wheels.

When it was time to rebuild the engine the Hudson following suggested that he do a general condition check of the engine first. He did and found it to be totally serviceable still and in good condition.

The transmission and engine are separated on that model with a short coupling I believe He still has not got the car totally finished.

I've always liked this photo of Gene Jensen and Tom Estes. I think the car is a Nash.

You have your standards all messed up. The Ford Pinto is an ugly car. The Plymouth Reliant was an ugly car.

Is it me or are the newer car headlights getting progressively brighter?

It seems like the typical newer car low beams now are as bright as the older cars' high beams. I might be getting more light sensitive as I get older, but I know I'm not imagining this either.

it seems so to me too.....also the number of offenders at driving with the bumper lights on routinely is huge.

On any given evening in SoCal you typically see at least 2 oblivious drivers going about their leisurely drive with high beams on. Usually it's this same species of offenders that sit in the fast lane on the highway doing 55.
