android 4.2.2 email client stuck in conversation mode
I was futzing with the settings in the Android email app, not the gmail app, and managed to switch from individual messages to conversation mode. At least I think it was my doing. Since I don't like conversation mode I immediately tried to switch back. I can't find the setting switch that turned on conversation mode to turn it off. Help!

Delete the account and put it back....and use the gmail app, it will help stretch your battery a little longer.

Thanks but that didn't work (despite all the work involved). The gmail app won't take my non-gmail accounts. Time for yet another app. I really miss my iPhone

If you can't figure it out and erasing an account takes more than 30 seconds, I do agree that you need an iPhone.

It was more than 30 seconds because there are 2 gmail accounts, a yahoo account and 2 accounts for which I have to dig up and enter POP details. To ease my sorrow, I forwarded a voicemail just now. Can't do that on an iPhone and it took less than 30 seconds

K-9 Mail is running now. It's more intuitive than the basic Android email app and I'm sure it'll get better when I figure out what some of those command icons do. I wish I could remove the unified inbox and all messages 'accounts' since I never use a global view but that won't be a real bother until I add a seventh email account... which I hope is never.
