So, if you're currently under 40 and single, or back when you were under 40 and single, you would turn this down?
![]() or this? ![]() or this? ![]() I don't think I could say no to Angela Lansbury.

Yes to Demi. OH HELL YES to Heather. Pass on Angela. Besides, any time she visits, somebody has to be murdered. Definitely pass.

As someone who didn't pursue the One That Got Away when he had a chance (16 years older), I'd say to go for it. Though I did end up dating someone who was almost as much older afterward, so it does happen.
It might be seen as odd, but so was a White guy dating a Black lady 50 years ago, or two men getting married 30 years ago. If both people can handle it, then why not? |

(2) same reason you'd fall for someone 10 years younger or your age -- you find them interesting, fun to be around, and attractive. (3) just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. It's not 1900 anymore where a relationship is about getting married and breeding ten kids to help out on the farm. |

Not necessarily. Some guys like to show off a trophy wife or someone much younger to assert how manly they are and can keep up with a young one. Might not be the whole reason but it could be part of the reason.

If you're getting a living creature to show off to people, get a toy poodle. It's less likely to get frustrated, divorce you, and file for alimony.

True but if you don't marry, life is easier. Besides, a poodle? Need a more vicious looking dog. Nothing says you're tough like a rabies infected animal.

Well life is full of suprises. My dental hygenist was doing her thing one time. She said you know Barry I have not had a man in seven years. I thought I am not positive where this is going but it seems pretty leading.
I really did not want to piss her off and it may not be as seems was a long shot. We had got along well over the years. I was happily married as well. So I said well at least we have something in common as neither have I. I thought it would blunt wherever this was going. Without embarrassing her or getting her mad. The general lines of the previous conversation that day as she worked on me did not leave a lot of interpretation though. |

No, I've never really asked myself why I fell head over heels for a woman who is more than a decade older than me. It just gradually happened. Besides, she has a beautiful personality that more than anything else enhances her physical beauty. So it's not just about looks. I've gone out with younger women/girls and not too long ago was dating a woman around my age. I just happened to like this woman who happens to beolder, guessing maybe she's 54 going on 55--and that doesn't bother me one bit. I have to admit having a crush on her piqued my interest in older women and for a time I was just checking out 40+ only ![]() I've always been the cautious type and analyse too much that I sometimes end up letting opportunities pass. Heck, a coworker is always telling me that I need to just do it. He in fact told me that there's someone who thinks I'm cute but won't tell me who it is. He said that I need to talk to her because women like that. He thinks it's a confidence issue with me, and that may partly be it, but it's really more of how badly do I want to be with someone. I'm one of those guys who enjoys solitude and don't mind doing things alone. I never cared for what society thinks of single people who don't have an SO. I know being in a relationship is sometimes overrated. That being said, if I find a girl attractive yet I'm not feeling it, then I won't feel a need to do something. But sometimes I'll meet a person who makes me want to do something, and this person we're talking about here is one such person. If I embarrass myself, then so be it. I may not see it that way because I did it knowing that I will never have to look back and wonder "what if." |
