The info we're getting shows that a few hours before the flight departed, the Malaysian government sentenced the opposition leader who the pilot strongly supported to a long prison term.
If it was the pilot's intent to embarrass and humiliate the Malaysian government and show the world how corrupt and incompetent it is, then he has succeeded masterfully. This seems to be the only scenario that fits the actual data that's been released.
No conspiracy required. Occam's razor prevails.

Even so, that does not seem to include ping data. That is out there with other countries.

They need to bring in the crew from "Without a Trace..."

Then go find it instead of playing like a broken record.
