Hmm.... taking queues from Harry Reid?
Reid is a savvy politician, albeit an extremely goofy acting one, who realizes the political value of producing villains. I don't doubt that Koch's a villain. There are plenty of villains on both sides. Just more politics that serves to obscure the real problems from those who will bite the bait.

Ever see anyone suffering from a severe case of asbestosis? Imagine being waterboarded every day if you want to get a hint of their "life"...

I'm enjoying the astute understanding on the part of message massagers that attaching the words, "Kock Brothers" and "Tea Party" to any political controversy is a major factor influencing public perception.

It's a trend I see in political news reporting and analysis. The Repos have their own memes -- like "class warfare". You know the drill.
Perhaps it is not a trend but my own bias. I don't know. |

So how do you feel about the vets? Should this new law be signed that limits their right to recover?

I dunno. I worked in a USN engine room with a lot of asbestos lagging. It probably means I am a potential plaintiff.
OTOH, I signed-up knowing it was a potentially life-threatening endeavor. I'm kind of undecided. Now if asbestos were intentionally introduced to cause me malicious and grave injury I would like to have a legal avenue. But if it was the best practices of the day then I am not so sure. I think I could be on a jury for this. I'm willing to hear arguments, counsellor. |

Very important point. For those folks who have the guts to take responsibility for their own life, such as yourself, intent is all important.

I think negligence or willful blindness or whatever, has already long since been established. The question here, if for those who can prove having been harmed, should we limit their ability to be compensated to protect corporate profits and viability?

If you frame it that way, String'em up!!!
I'm guessing there's another perspective. Care to offer it? |

Walking on one leg takes us in circles.
Nah, I'll let the politicians duke it out. I don't think I can raise enough concern to give a damn. |
