That would be 35,000 incidents, in this one State's study.
If it pans out, that is certainly an alarming issue.
I have to admit to being skeptical until more solid evidence is uncovered.

Even so, this issue and others like it, will not be addressed by shortening the available times to vote, or for that matter, voter ID laws.

I think anyone interested in election integrity can find some common sense in this link.

Yeah, that seems not substantiated.

That does not look like an unbiased source.

I'm not defaming them, but I also recognize that they have a dog in this fight, and may only have 'discovered' coincidences which they interpreted as that which they were looking for.

Statistical analysis will prove out whether what they found was real fraud, or a combination of coincidence and clerical error.
I think it is fair to say that they should have done more investigation before jumping head first into the media pool with unsubstantiated assumptions.

If one were to take RNC chairman Sean Spicer (who has already taken to social media to pronounce the findings as proof of double voting) and examine the roll of registered voters in this nation, there are 20 others with the same name and the same birthday.
That is the only criteria used to claim the 35K people are all examples of fraud. So, do we presume that Spicer is guilty of 20 counts of fraud all by himself?

The 765 people with same name, birthday and last 4 digits of social security number is only slightly more reliable, although there are over 45000 people assigned the same last 4 digits of the social security number.
However, how many mistakes were made by poll workers in checking off people, and how many are cases of matching name, birthday, and last 4 digits of different people.

North Carolina is on the forefront of repressive voting laws, and have likely leaped to erroneous conclusions in their haste to justify their actions.
And I do not discount even slightly, the possibility that they know damn well that their findings are not proof, but are banking on people only reading the bombshell breaking news, and never catching the rest of the story when it finally comes out.

Did any of the 35.000 come before a judge? Must be easy to find them.

The headline went from tens of thousands to hundreds and then says it's only slightly more reliable. In essence not a good way to determine fraud.

There are no murders unless the murderers come before a judge.

Time will tell whether this is voter fraud, or voter fraud fraud. ( Thanks, Bot)

No murder without a body. MS Fowler and dudesky's (in another thread) link to massive fraud doesn't seem to have gotten more attention then from gmail and hotmail...

There are no charges until so, and until those charges are accompanied by sufficient evidence to bring to trial. Accusations don't carry much weight until then, and in reality, should they?
