I've been told that under the census system in the UK if enough people say that their religion is for example "Jedi knight" that it gets official status!

Presbyterian and Reformed churches came form the Reformation, and were strongly anti Roman; some of the early confessions, very much so.
Literacy in the original languages is what is required; not Latin.

Very true--- It is difficult to have friends inside your church. One of the benefits of the Presbyterian Form of Government is that the pastors ( Teaching Elders) are never members of a church, but are members of the Presbytery which is the association of all the Teaching Elders in a geographical area. In theory, they should make friends, and have accountability partners at that level, and assist each other. In practice, it rarely works as well as it should.
