My real time is 12 hours ahead of Michigan time. Since I have not seen anything else about this incident on newscasts here, was just wondering if there is any other new news about this incident,,or if intell is still being gathered.

The U.S. Embassy here has their own way of spying on it's citizens. If I spend too much time on the BWOT forum, my computer goes haywire. S'pose it is their way of letting me know they can 'Reach out and Touch me'..at any time.

Anyway it's no big secret that the Embassy keeps tabs on U.S. citizens living/working here.

I suppose it didn't help much seeings as what I put on my passport/visa application as my reason for coming here in the first place.

Except for Army Aviation facilities, there is no such thing as an Army "base." There are, however, such things as Army "posts." Fort Hood is an Army "POST". There used to be and I expect still is, an Army Aviation facility nearby named "Killeen BASE."

Sounds petty I know, but if you had been harrassed by a mean and nasty Army drill sergeant for calling it a base, and made to knock out fifty push ups as punishment, you would remember it too.

"You numb nuts! You're not in the Navy! This is a POST! Get down and give me FIFTY!"
