Kawasaki V8 Oddessy

I looked at an old "sorta race car" today. It was an odessy equipped with a v8 engine composed of two Kawasaki four cylinder blocks bolted to a crankcase so it has 8 cylinders. It is equipped with some sort of fuel injection set up to use alcohol. It runs a constant variable belt drive through a solid axle. There is a brake on the axle but none in front.

I was curious about it as a potential autocross car. I think the solid axle and lack of pedals probably makes it impossible for me.

I'd be concerned about the handling.

T, I can't get your pic to enlarge. Is it the "other" Honda Odyssey? If so, that thing would scream!

My tired, old 600cc kawaka puts down a surprising amount of power(to me-probably only like 50-60hp). Two 600s or larger would be crazy

Bingo. I am pretty certain that his little car would pull the front wheels at will if the belt drive is tight enough.

The Honda FL350 was the final evolution of the Odyssey before it became the Pilot. It was a beast with full suspension where as the FL250 was a solid rear as I remember.

The Pilot was the most refined 4 wheeler, kind of like a S2000 is to a Miata. Would love to have one but the owners never let them go.

And when they do, they've been soundly thrashed!
