Meanwhile, with a stock implementation of Android, I can get most of the benefits of jailbreaking (sideloading, lack of heavy-handed stupidity) without rooting. Funny, that.

I've certainly had my share of frustrations with apple, and I am not defending them, but android can be just as bad. Same game different players.

...okay...many (I'd argue most) users do not utilize or desire that complexity.

It did not look staged to me. People all looked very natural. Could be staged but did not get that vibe from it.
