Any of you ever try the dark meat on a wild turkey? I hear it's not so good but I've never tried it.

There are quite a few wild turkeys, quail, and pheasants around my house. Too close to the neighbors to shoot them, but the turkeys are fearless. You can walk right up to them. I could simply grab one by the neck if I didn't value my forearms. I suppose if I get hungry enough...

In my area their are a ton of wild turkey, we have to dodge them with our cars.

Considering how built up my area is, it is amazing the amount of turkey, deer, and fox that are running around. Up north a few miles they even have bear, and wolves are on their way back I hear.
