Oh yeah come on. They just give them out to damn near anyone. All you need is to have Down Syndrome these days to earn your letter.

This is damn near absurd unless you see the the pinnacle of your academic career ending after you senior year in high school.

Wonder how this will play out at the 30 year reunion when everyone wears their respective letter jackets? Everyone in Wichita should buy a letter jacket and wear it 24/7.

lol. Give the young man a letter with gold stars, let him put it on his jacket and make him feel special and loved. Everyone deserves something just for participating, getting out there and trying. Just don't give him the first place trophy for doing so. His letter would not be a Varsity letter- but it is special.

This made me think. I hold varsity letters in 4 sports (just high school). Doesn't matter.


I can't think of a single person at my school (nor any school we competed with) who would complain about the issue here. What kind of whining sniveling egotistical spoiled child would?
