Recommend a good decaf coffee

I recently cut myself off caffeine for many health benefits, and am looking for a decent decaf coffee. I am very much not a fan of dark roasts. I've tried most of the store brand decaf coffees, as well as Pero/Postum and a couple other "substitutes" which I found severely lacking.

What have you folks used?

I'm also experimenting with roasting barley and wheat in a hot air popcorn popper and then grinding it and brewing it. Not sure how that'll turn out, the results thus far are frankly not encouraging.

This is good coffee. We usually order 7-8 pounds at a time and throw in a pound of decaf.

We mix our own half-caf. Lately have been using Costco's Kirkland ground decaf in the big can. Not dark roast but bold enough that it doesn't water down the other half much.

I equate drinking decaf to drinking non-alcohol beer. However, I, too, use the Kirkland decaf to make haf-caf coffee with good results for the afternoon pot.

Plenty of buzz from half caf for me. These eyes pop open wide exactly one hour before sunrise year 'round un-aided. I love coffee. With half caffeine I can drink it all day without biting somebody's head off or climbing the walls.

I don't know about decaf never had one I liked much; it always tastes like the filter to me. Some brands are probably better. Regular is good but I'm skinny and can't handle the caffeine. One cup is my max or I'll be grinding my teeth and/or doubled over with a stomach ache. Coffee is strong stuff!

Recently got into black tea w/ a splash of milk and I haven't looked back. Nice little boost, easy to drink all day, doesn't keep you up at night and no stomach ache on an empty stomach.

My mom coordinates a large coffee time at our church every week (600-700 cups of coffee/week), and several years ago, when we first revamping and expanding it, a fellow at our church who at that point was running the Four Seasons (Boston's first five-star hotel) told us to use Kirkland coffee and explained that it is actually rebranded Starbucks.

It could be. Costco picks some top shelf products to put under its brand. We buy their whole bean as well as their ground, which comes in an honest three pound can. At 11 bucks last time we bought it's a good deal.

Lavazza

Lavazza decaf is really good. Not acidy or bitter like most. Comes in 1 kg bags, 5 kg cans and in Pods for 1 cup makers..

Pick one, my gf drinks this stuff and it's really good. They're nice people there, if you called them they could help you pick.

I've always, well, since I was 14, drank coffee from wake up to bed time. My first pot is full leaded, and the second pot is coffee lite...only because of the doc telling my wife about the arrhythmia and HBP. Since then, we've made a compromise...she doesn't take my coffee completely away, and I don't act like a prick.

Lipton doesn't seen to be selling individual tea packets anymore. Why, Lipton? Why?
