Thanks for the replies, folks. My apologies for posting this and bailing.
I've since discovered that my favorite supermarket has decent decaf, fresh ground.

I asked for just a plain blk small coffee at Starbucks ,waaayyy to much caffeine ,they push the stuff like they have shareholders with a profit margin in mind.Caffeine is not a drug but people are addicted to its affects like a drug.

By what definition is caffeine "not a drug"? It's a physically addictive central nervous system stimulant, not unlike, in that respect, cocaine and amphetamine.

Personally, whatever decaf I went with, it'd have to be the grounds and freshly brewed type.

I looked into decaf methods before switching, as I didn't want to get traces of something worse! I did not find a single method using formaldehyde. Got a link?

That's okay.
Anyway, I like the taste of coffee and the warmth of both regular and decaf. It's not just about the caffeine, which is indeed a hellava drug. My preferred method of brewing is pour over but I also use an aeropress, stovetop espresso maker, French press and a drip machine. Each of which produce a different cup of coffee, but ultimately are all delicious.

Let's try and keep the political stuff in the right section.
I have pour over, french press, and your basic drip pot for large volumes. Folgers decaf turned out to be nearly undrinkable, very sour. My manager at work makes HORRID coffee. Just disgusting stuff, mix axle grease with diesel oil and add turpentine and you have an approximation. Today I bought a small bag of charcoal briquettes and taped his name to it, and sat it on the coffee shelf with the rest of the coffee.

I really think you'll be happier with decaf from a small roaster. The suggestion I offered in my first post is a great one, sure it's a bit pricey. Also, grinding your beans fresh in a decent burr grinder for consistency makes a huge difference as does the temperature of your water. If you keep looking you'll find the smooth cup you're looking for.
