The only place I have ever been where I pumped then paid was Canada. I've never pumped then paid in the US.

I do get super annoyed when its an entirely empty gas station, and even if the pump is both gas and diesel there is invariably some mid 90s GM w-body parked in front of the only diesel pump, and the owner is inside buying scratch offs. If I'm in one of my gassers and a pump that is gas only is open and the gas/diesel is open, I always pick the gas only pump. It's a simple courtesy. I concede more than half of people probably don't know what diesel fuel is, nor why I can't fill my CDI with 87 octane. But, to the OP, yes, I am with you.

Sometimes cash is appropriate to not leave an obvious meta data digital signature, if it comes down to searching security vids, well then it doesn't involve me anyway.
While your vehicle is hogging up a space that someone who may have better things to do, than mix it up with the folks inside. Also I would bet that the counter people say every time, here comes that A&ole again who can't get a credit card, and pay at the pump.

LOL. I use my cards inside, unless I prefer for that occasion to diminish my digital record. More than 90% of the time I pay CC, seldom cash for gas. Two of my vehicles have 42 gallon tanks, remember when gas was $4? Pretty sure none of my vehicles holds less that 20 gallons. But thanks for your ignorant and defamatory speculation. Hope you don't mind a post of your house?

Yeah that is ten minutes of the persons life behind them that they will never get back.

Thats what my woods around and behind my house on the other side of the fence will look like in a few months.

Ironic that your username is sloride.

If the gas station has an option to pay gas, then it's no issue to pay cash. I'm rarely at a gas station when all pumps are in use and often pay cash. It's only an extra 3-4 minutes. If the guy behind me has an issue with that, then it's his problem.

Good observation! This may be his incentive to extract the most from his non drive time Do any places still offer discount for cash? edit: Now that I think about that, the discount seems to have gone away with high prices, which makes sense since the fixed part of the CC fee to the vendor becomes a smaller percentage, but now that prices are down a bit, maybe this will return?
