W126 in general are pretty simple cars to work on. At the age this car is, the heads will need to come off as head gaskets are prone to leaking as they get old. They tend to rot on the car so even low mileage ones could suffer this.
Rebuild the heads, put a new timing chain and sort out the rubber suspension bits and you'll have a very nice car to drive.

He's not going to find out unless he looks at the car. If the expectation is $20,000 worth of work on a $3000 car, he may be disappointed.

Seat Belt Presenters. Make sure they work.
Chrome rims! Ugly! Does the seller offer a car-fax report to review? Or any service records? For 3,200 bucks, as a previous poster said, don't expect a lot was done by the seller. |
