How to price a car with diffrent engine
Well I finished cleaning up the s10 today and started looking into it's value. Kind of a problem beacuse the 3.1 was never offered in the S10. It came in the 2.8 or the 2.5 in 1986. So my question was is there a way to price the truck? A S10 with 288k with 2.8 is about 1,300 a 1991 firebird (base model) with 91k is around 2,500. Has anyone ever had this type of trouble?
PS I had never seen dirt stick to paint on the inside of a car untill today |

The car is of an age and with so many miles, I don't think the different engine materially changes its value.
If anything, the larger engine might be seen as a good thing, especially if it runs good. What about your Firebird? Does it have a different engine, too? Why are you asking? Are you finally going to take my advice and liquidate all of your cars that are in different states of disrepair so that you can buy a nice, used Mercedes???? :p

No the engine came out of a firebird in 1991 that was hit in the rear end driving off the lot. It had 22 miles on it. Nope keeping everything the same just replacing the S10 with the new truck.
