Wow. I bet they were handing out clean undi's on that flight.

I am guessing Pratt and Whitney/GE will being under the spotlight for a bit. Looks like good engineering and good luck that the engine did not compromise the cabin or wing.



From the picture, it looks like the fan and a good part of the drive shaft and part/all of the low pressure sompressor are gone. Glad no one was hurt.
