Went to the BBS today-WAY more people wearing masks-probably 60-75%. Also stores that are open are implementing stronger distancing measures. Drive throughs are serving food from a tray instead of handing it over and not taking money by hand.

Thumbs up Being Proactive

Good to see not everyone is so ignorant as to not understand vectors...

I think our beach areas are about to have an uptick in covid-19 cases .

Some of the people allowed to speak to the TV news are so ignorant you'd not want to be anywhere near them at any time .

Washable masks are not as good as the disposable ones.
The good news is that disposable masks can be reused, if you let them dry for 3 days all viruses are destroyed, in sunlight even faster.

Can't find any in my area. Stores and hospitals expect you to have them.

Nate ;

? Do you have 'CVS' drug stores in Tenn. ? .

They sell them individually, I now keep at least one spare in each car and one in my pocket...

Exclamation Where To Live

Well Nate ;

I have lived in other countries and yes it had it's benifits but America is still head and shoulders above anywhere else, just ask the folks who risk life and limb to get here and start over......

You're no longer young and that means some serious pitfalls for you should you move away .

OTOH, I know some folks who moved to Canada and live decently on even less $ than I do .

Look closely before you jump please .

Available surgery is messed up currently. In most if not all countries with the virus. They expect it to take some time to work their way through a backlog to normal business. After things settle down.

Guatemala too, I lived there and they're a fairly rapid killer, you really do not want to go that route .

Post Managing Chronic Pain

Well Nate ;

I use meditation mostly because I'm old and most of the folks I knew in the 1960's are dead because of drug use .

My late Step Mother taught me this in 1973 or so, she did caution me that when she did it for a toothache she neglected to do to the dentist and wound up needed jaw surgery when the abscess reached her jawbone....

Give it a try, don't waste a .22 Caliber bullet on a perfectly good human being who has family who loves and cares about him please .

Post Masks

I was working in my back yard yesterday when I noticed my nice Chinese neighbor walking to - wards my house, he said a family member is in importer and he can get me a case or 50 masks for $23, that makes them *much* cheaper than I'm currently paying but I have about ten of them now +/- and I wash them by hand or buttoned into the pocket of my work shirt so I don't know if I should buy them or not.....

Careful. I have a case of KN95 masks that I bought direct from China. The CDC just tested a bunch of these and found them unacceptable. They published a list:

https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/respirators/testing/NonNIOSHresults.html

I should add that there are details and photos if you follow the links.
