w210 E class AC system

my AC went out last summer right before winter, and I just recharged it cause its staring to get hot again although the correct amount of r134a is in the system now it still blows hot and didn't blow cold for even a second when I charged it. When I have it blowing on the coldest setting and switch it off EC mode it blows harder and gets a little louder so I don't think its the compressor, what do you think could be causing it to blow hot still. could it be the evaporator? I don't think its a leak cause if so it would've blown cold for a little right? if anybody has worked on the AC system in these cars and experienced this please LMK.appvalley tutuapp tweakbox

How do you know the compressor is not shot?

Probably will need the fault code(s) reset before it will allow compressor activation

It's a miracle any W210 is on the road, much less with working air. My experience is that the systems were prone to corrosion damage. I once had a dryer rust out, and the system eventually died with a bad evaporator coil.

Quite strange that a metal case part sitting out in the open rusting out is something you consider enough to decommission a whole vehicle.

Or maybe Im from the wrong school of repair.

How are you spring perches holding up? I'm contemplating getting a 210. Likely from the Phoenix/SoCal area where rust should never be a concern.
