Are you trying to stir up trouble michael? hehe just kidding. Congrats on the car. Tyhe lexus is a perfectly good car, and if I didn't love benz so much, I'd probably drive one myself.

Have had the car a couple of weeks now.I like it.It does almost totally remove any road feel You turn the wheel and it turns, but not with the connection of a benz. The real screamer,is Parts prices. They make many of the Mercedes parts seem inexpensive. It has caused a lot of unhappy Lexus owners, from comments on the club web site,I am going to send a letter to Lexus telling them what robbery they are commiting on parts. But so far so good. The car has an absolute outstanding climate control system. And is so silent that it has to be experianced.

Yeah the Lexus/Toyota high-end A/C units are definitely top notch. I had a Toyota Crown that could freeze all four passengers with its a/c at the lowest blower setting. FYI, weather in Jakarta is 90F all year long.

It was so soft that it bottomed out when it hit mid-sized bumps..

Maybe if you could get hold of the Toyota Celsior parts they are cheaper Just a thought They are the same cars anyway.

I also heard that you could take the Lexus to Toyota instead and they'd fix it for less... I don't know how true that is though.

Japanese cars tend to have ice cold A/C.... Maybe German is too cold already... hehe...

LS400 is a really nice car, especially the later models.... almost bulletproof and well taken cared of.... but if there is something broken, it ain't gonna be pretty...

We almost bought a SC400 about a year after my Father bought the 400SE..... but figure it was too early to have a 2DR and winter snow is gonna be an A$$(my old house was on a 30 degree incline hill, with incline driveway)....

Hahahaha yes, I was just yesterday following a Gold LS400 along the UKs normal twisty A-roads, the driver was trying to get a move on, but it was really painful to watch. Even the slightest turn of the wheel brought on sooo much lean it made me cringe...

He would disappear briefly on straight bits, and on every single corner I'd find myself hitting the brakes halfway round as I came up behind this thing looking like it was trying to drive on 2 wheels . Lucky a 190e is so stable under lift-off mid-turn... A nice luxury car, but I fear not intended for twisty European roads, or, in fact corners at all..
