Hard to say, what do you want to put up there? It should support at least 125lb per sq ft, but the foundation and verticle support may or may not. How old is the construction, what type?

Why are you asking?

Thank you for responding,LuckyF8. The 2x6 are carried on cinder block walls. the home and garage are about 50 years old with an enclosed breeze-way between them. I added fire stopping dry wall on the cieling and 5-8th plywood on the top for the attic floor. I want to use the attic for light storage. I also installed drop steps for access to the attic.

It looks like you have good construction there, light storage will work fine. It never hurts to call the local building dept. for advice, they will tell you if you meet the building code.

Good Luck
