D.C.-Area sniper executed in Virginia

"RICHMOND, Va. - John Allen Muhammad was executed Tuesday night for the sniper attacks in 2002 that left 10 dead and spread such fear people were afraid to go shopping, cut grass or pump gas.
The three-week killing spree in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., was carried out with a teenage accomplice who is serving life in prison without parole. Muhammad, 48, died by injection at 9:11 p.m. EST after he exhausted his court appeals and Gov. Tim Kaine denied clemency."

Yes, he murdered 10 innocent people in cold blood. What else does one need to know? He got what he deserved, no sympathy from me. Hope he rots in hell.

Why does his last name matter?

Are you simply pro-multiple murder of any distinction or only pro-Muslim multiple murderer or pro-multiple murderer of certain last names only?

The self professed Muslim convert who'd been convicted after murdering 10 completely innocent people was sentenced to death this evening, that's a good thing!

I do know that there are the families and friends of his 10 victims have had their existence irrevocably altered by his actions.

I know this Muslim multiple murderer father figure enlisted young Lee Boyd Malvo as his co-murder resulting in his being sentenced to life in prison.

I know I was a forum member when these events transpired 7 years ago and when it was certain that this Muslim multiple murderer had been put to death by means that are much too civilized, I thought it was useful to update the thread.

So the real question is what do you care about this now dead Muslim multiple murderers? Or where you just reflexively reacting based on your own prejudice and attempting to insinuate someone posting in celebration of him getting his just deserts has some animas other that the nature of his crimes? Do tell?

You seem to think his religion is relevant, that's all. He was not religiously motivated.

However, a lawyer for Mohammad's family said Tuesday that "we have a letter" - presumably written by Mohammad - that would be disclosed at a later time.

At a press conference in Richmond, the sniper's family refused to comment but their lawyer Charlene Paterson "expressed remorse" on their behalf and said they were not prepared to disclose the letter.

"Based on the emotional climate, some of the comments I am sure you are all aware of last night, the family is not comfortable disclosing any of the details on that letter at this time," Paterson said.

I guess they haven't had a chance to shop it aroud yet! Maybe the Nation of Islam will buy it "to preserve the historical record"?

I'm not about to jump to conclusions about a letter I haven't read, even though not jumping to conclusions make me a terrorist sympathiser lobbyist in your eyes.

I lived in the DC area when he was on his shooting rampage, and his arrest/trial. He was disturbed, and at no point were there details of any kind about his religious beliefs. No emails to imams, nothing. There were plenty of details about his life, and his wife seemed to think it was about his family situation. He did not start the violence immediately upon his conversion, and according to the article you posted, did not have a spiritual advisor present at the time of his death.



No one talks about the Praise Jesus Christian Tim McVeigh and his Christian partner Terry Nichols because their religion is not relevant to the deed.


As for Malvo, he is a basically family-less wanderer messed up kid, so I don't put a lot of stock in what he draws, nor do I decide that because of his drawings he's an Islamist terrorist. He may have latched onto Bin Laden because Malvo hates the world and Bin Laden attacked it. Maybe Muhammad is a bizarrely silent terrorist as opposed to the overwhelming majority of them who proudly announce why they do it. It doesn't fit the facts so far though.

I'm sure that someplace in the Islamic world, Billybob's counterpart is making exactly that argument. Hopefully, he is being ignored as well.

The only sad part of his life is that it was not taken earlier.
My wife & I live smack dab in the middle of where this nutcase began his spree. She drove past the gas station in Kensington within 1/2 hour of the shooting.
A regular customer & friend of mine was shot while mowing at White Flint Mall.
Good riddance.
