I don't have a MB yet but plan on buying one this summer. It will probably be a 82-85 300SD or a 86-87 300SDL. But a 300SEL or 420SEL is starting to look attractive. After I get out of school I would like to start to work on getting my dream car. Its a 1999 S600, black on black. With some nice Renntech mods.

Now I am pretty set on what I want... a W124. Perfect size and equipment levels for me.

I'd like to find in order:
1. Silver 500E!
2. 300CE or 400E
3. Silver 93 250D Turbo with black leather interior fully loaded
4. 95 E300 D
5. 87 300D Turbo.

yes that's it. However No.3 being the best compromise (fuel economy and 124's good looks... and that diesel sound!)

Silver... I don't know why but I love silver 124's...

I know why you love silver w124's holson...

You've seen the infamous silver 500e of run.exe, and the nice silver 500e glen has. Both look amazing in silver.

As for 300ce's, I love em in black the most, but silver is my second choice.

Theres just something about a german car in black or silver, the colors just fit perfectly.

of any german cars I would every buy, be it a porsche, bmw, audi, vw, or benz, black or silver are the only colors I would even consider.

Alon

hehe yeah that's true.

I have not seen a solid black 500E. However the 500E that I got really close to buying was silver'd out. The bottom panels were painted silver and had clear corners front and back.

I didn't like the modifications at first. Then the next day I took it out to my mechanic (bright clear sunny day)... the thing just looked unbelievably gorgeous!!!!

Even at stop lights the car got more attention than most other cars (Audi S4's & BMW M3's, which are just plentiful around here). I'm sure most of them thought it was just a 300E.

I've been trying to think how the 300D/E/400E would look with the same modifications.

The 500E didn't even have bigger wheels or exhaust.. it just looked beautiful...

sigh.. if only that silver 500E was the right car
oh... and black leather interior.
I just fell in love with that car!!

Friend of mine down the street has a smoke silver/ivory (cream?) 500e in immaculate condition for sale. He fell gallantly in the stock market crash and now finds the service by the book a bit expensive. So, he needs to sell it and retrench. It is a 1992 and stock save for the upgraded 10 disc CD changer Eclipse system (with eclipse am/fm/cassette deck). Car has new tires about two weeks ago; shocks are fine. It runs like a champ.....a champ on speed!

The car is washed daily and has been dealer serviced at European Motors of San Francisco mostly. He has used a local independent german specialist for some minor service recently, though.

any interest contact rwegner@woacatering.com

1994-1995 (preferably a '95) W124. I've always liked that body style. And I still do. Once a car has passed my 5-year dreaming stage and still interests me, then it's a car I know I will be happy with for another 5 or more years. I'm also freaming about a Volvo 855 or first generation V70

I'd like a C230 Coupe or a 500E. Not for a while though, as my Volvo is doing just fine and the 240D will be coming back out of the garage in the spring...

I have a 400SEL W140 and I think my next one would have to be a W140 as well, I love those cars. I don't know you about you, but I will not go for the 220 body. I am thinking maybe a Black/Black S500 between the years of 97 and 99. I would go for Black/Tan.

I have a 190e right now, but I would seriously consider a diesel model MB for my next car. Maybe an early 90's model 300d 2.5 or perhaps a 300SDL. The 190e doesn't have 80k on her yet, so I think I will be holding on to her for awhile!! I looked at diesel models, but decided to go with a gas model this time because my car always sits outside. Some day though!! Take care-Michael.

I will probably be having my next MB soon, when I sell the car I won (see sig). It will be a 500E, 300CE (pref. CE-24 or 320CE) Coupe or cabriolet, but I wish I could stretch the few extra ££ for an early (say 1990-1991) 500SL or 300SL

If my love life continues along its current path, I might occasionally get to drive a '99 E430, but it wouldn't be my car.

I'm still stuck on an anthracite 500E with black leather interior a friend of mine owns.... If I ever get it, Alon can have my silver 300TE for his collection.

ohhhh.. Anthracite 500E!

While I don't like Anthracite Grey in general (re: my diesel is Anthracite in color), I love the way the color looks on certain MB's.

The 500E would look so 'slow and old' in Anthracite. How perfect It's just the way I want it to be hehehe...

I never thought there was one. If I find one I think I'd jump on it right away.
Top color choices for 500E (for me) are Silver, Anthracite and Diamond Blue (not in order)
