Is this snake oil?
This guy claims to be able to make your musical instrument sound better. Any instrument.

Interesting. But not much detail that I could see as to what exactly "the device" is, or how it works other than vague discussions of acoustics. I'd definately approach this with a "show me" attitude.

Not much talk about "how" they go about optimizing a particular instrument. In theory, it is possible, but only with predominantly-acoustical instruments...factor in electronic amplification, and all that goes out the window. They concur this in the faq section.
As a musician (of several instruments), I have found that the skill level of the musician coupled with the room acoustics are more crucial parameters in the outcome of the music, than "instrument optimization". Anyone that would find this beneficial would have to already be pretty skilled in hearing musical nuances. So I would liken it to say how "oxygen-free braided copper speaker cables" would sound over typical Radio-Shack zip cord...

hmmm, sorry but nobody is going to be "fiddling" around with my Martin OM! It's already optimized.

I figured the consensus would be snake oil, yet I was holding out for an explanation that such a thing might work. File this one away with the Tornado.
