Please pass along our compliments to your daughter. She sounds like a very intelligent young person, and a good judge of character and sincerity, or lack thereof. Even children can see through the true motivations of these protests. I'm glad that they are out there making such fools of themselves right now! It only hurts their cause, and that is a very good thing!  Mike

...thanks for your comments.
We have managed to raise independent, clear-thinking, no-nonsense kids. I suppose that in the short run it would have been easier to raise obedient, compliant, yes-kids. We chose, however, to raise kids who can think for themselves, who won't tolerate BS and who will not follow along with the crowd. The latter course has made up for some interesting moments at home though...  Incidentally, the "action" that caused the leftist peacenik scum to shout at the school kids was when the kids started to yell GOD BLESS AMERICA. Apparently the demonstrators took great umbrage at the kids' sentiment. My daughter described the majority of the demonstrators as the "great unwashed." A look at the url that I posted a few messages earlier can attest to her assessment
