How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

My dad used to mod (or attempt to) until I told him not to. He actually wanted the wheels you have now, and we argued so much about it that we didnt speak for the rest of that evening lol.

anyway, my dad is happy to mod the way I do now

Hey Doctor,

I find Bruce's Mercedes quite tasteful, a little different but not over the top. Nice job Bruce.

/grandpa mode on.

Seriously man, don't be diss'n people's cars like that. Let me give you a lesson in courtesy. When you go to someone's house for dinner and you're not too hungry or the food is too salty, you quietly eat a little bit and tell them you had a stomach upset yesterday, and you smile. You do this because someone decided to go through the trouble of making dinner and sharing it with you.

/grandpa mode off.

Hi Doc.

I'm not sure what you trying to imply or ask me. That's say this. I'm old enough to own all my cars outright. The extras added to the car are just a few basis items. They don't change the original character of the cars looks or design. The wheels are original Mercedes wheels, not aftermarket, No tinting, alltough I like a light tinting, but I'm always out at social engagements - The police seem to stop guys with tinting, so I don't want to heighten my chances to get busted on a DUI for some tinting. The rest of the car is in as original. Well I hope that explains things. BTW, I'm a dad who raised , bought cars for them and sent two kids to college and grad school. I think you Dad and myself might have the same taste. I'm almost 59.

Everything is quite nice---except for the mudflaps. The mudflaps are giving your car a boxier look, but hey its just my opinion. If you drive a lot, then you have those mudflaps for a reason.

Your car looks great! Very tasteful, and thats from an 18 year old. If you don't mind me suggesting I think a German plate on the front would look nice. I was never a fan of those chrome plate holder covers.

I like both cars for different reasons, but my personal tastes lean toward Bruce.

I'm more of an "original-look" guy, and I prefer a more conservative look, too.

Very tasteful.

I don't like the grill. You're happy though, so more power to you. Modifications one does to a car, especially cosmetic ones are to reflect the owners tastes. Who cares what other people think? I prefer the lower aggressive stance on a car, but can still respect the subtle changes you chose for your E.

Happy Motoring

haha Bruce, no ill intent in my post my friend. I thought you were around 20-30, so I was a bit 'shocked' to see a more subtle/conservative approach to your modding, which would be similar to my dad's since you both are near the same age

I guess modding is different with different segments of the population. For instance, I'm into the what you might call 'fast and furious,' whereas you would be in the 'relaxed and serious'

Keep on modding, it's always fun!

I like'em stock. Hell, I would have kept the Becker had it been at least halfway decent. "Modding" is usually for showing off, I prefer understatement.

Mike

[I]Edit- I do like the mudflap idea.
