SOLV E ALL OF YOUR POPUP PROBLEMS

forget about Internet explorer. Get the latest netscape right now. It stops all popusp from sites that you do not specify. I have not had a single popup while using for some time now. The best part about this is that I don't have to download some other annoying program to stop em now.

That should work. Netscape is based on Mozilla code. Kinda funny how the popup blocking wasn't in the earlier Netscape, even though Mozilla had it. Not sure it was left out for technical reasons...

Theres really no AOL in netscape unless you want to be there. There is just a little AiM icon in one of the toolbars that can easily be removed. Its the best browser I've ever used.

While mozilla is installed and running in quick launch I'm still using IE because I'm to lazy to switch all of my bookmarks over. I wonder if I copied the file from the IE folder to the mozilla one if it'd work, hmm....

Mozilla

you can IMPORT all IE Bookmarks, from Mozilla Help..

Exporting or Importing a Bookmark List

Your bookmarks are stored in a file named bookmarks.html. You can export a copy of this file and save it in a folder of your choosing. You can then edit it and treat it as you would any HTML file.

1. Open the Bookmarks menu and choose Manage Bookmarks.
2. In your Bookmarks window, open the Tools menu, and choose Export.
3. In the "Export bookmark file" dialog box, choose a folder. Your bookmarks.html file will be copied into the folder you designate.
4. Click Save.

Your Mozilla bookmarks are not altered by this procedure.

Do a search on your computer and see how many AOL files they are....

Never read the directions unless all else fails! And I suppose you don't like putting something together and taking it apart several times everytime you work on something either?!?.... Thanks GAW123. Now I gotta do the cookies or look up some of my passwords.

pop ups

when I get one that won't close without opening more I use control-alt-delete and end the internet explorer task.

I also like using spyBot to clean my machine from web-loaded spyware and cookies.
