Totalled E320

Well guys my E320 is done. I spun out on a patch of ice yesterday morning and hit a tree on the drivers side. Pictures attached. I'm ok. Thank god I was in a Mercedes. I will be looking shortly for another Mercedes, decieding on another E series or an S series. Price most probably the price will determine that. I keep you posted.

It's not the tall sails that bring a ship to the port of destination, but the unseen wind.

Yep,,, she's junk all right. Most times in a hit like that, the driver dies,,,, you are VERY lucky.

Angry youch !!!

bruce-boy, sorry to hear about the 320.

but hey, even when it was perfect, it still was only a hunk of metal. autos = replaceable. bodies = not.

dont rush into the replacement, drive lots of possibilities.

Glad your ok. That must have hurt. How are you feeling now? Symptoms sometimes take a couple of days to develope. Is it just me or does it seem that as soon as a MS member gets his/her car sorted out something like this happens.

That stinks! Glad you're okay. Visited the chiropractor yet? You'll feel it soon.

I always liked your car, especially the color. Thrillbilly said it right, drive a lot of different cars and before you pick out your next one.

I hope your insurance company gives you a fair amount for your car!

Thanks so much for the nice replys and the concern. I do feel fortunate. They say Mercedes are built like tanks and are safe. I guess so! The side air deployed. It all happened within just a few seconds. I loved the way the E drove and felt. This time a 4-matic may be in order. Thanks again everybody.

BTW. I'm checking with the insurance company to see if any of the items can be retained or purchased back after they settle with me.
