Do you like fish or fishing? If you like fish, cast a wide net, use explosives or rotenone, etc.
If you like fishing, its more fun to present the lure with respect and admiration for the quarry. B |

Well, I like fishing & fish, (never really thought of them as "exclusive") but it seems I just can't keep MedMech from hittin' the same lure over and over. Perhaps since he's now "blind as a mullet" it sort of makes sense.

"As many as 10,000 non-combatant civilian deaths during 2003 have been reliably reported so far as a result of the US/UK-led invasion and occupation of Iraq . These reports provide figures which range between a minimum of 8,235 and a maximum of 10,079 as of Saturday 7th February 2004."

As I said somewhere here, we are pretty much on par with Sad's woodchipper.

...US policy in Iraq? Yes, there are certain (im)moral convergences.

here we go.....again.
This did start out as just a "remember our men and women" thread, and it's already degraded to the usual banter. C'mon guys. I like you all, but can't we give it a rest once in awhile? Pleeeeze?

B, Immoral equivalency? Just numbers my man. All I am saying is that we sure did not bring peace and freedom to them. It could happen though.

I heard a point made in rebuttal of the comparison between Iraq and Vietnam, it was we lost as many lives in one day in Vietnam as we have alltogether in Iraq.

I'm gonna get on the Harley and ride up to my dad's gravesite. He made it through WWII in Europe. I don't recall at the moment what division. He went to the "Bulge" and the sub pens in France and then spent the rest of the war cleaning up.
I salute all those who fought (and still are fighting) and sometimes feel guilty that I never served; that my freedoms (eroding that they are) are somehow unpaid for. My dad paid, and so did his dad in WWI.
